Platform Independent Molecular Diagnostics

Source MDx has long recognized the importance of a platform independent approach in the development and commercialization of RNA transcript-based molecular diagnostic tests. To this end, Source MDx has developed relationships with a variety of PCR platform providers and has demonstrated experience in the technical performance (i.e. mechanics, optics, multiplex and singleplex environments, data output) as well as reagent requirements and formats (i.e. fluorophores, quenchers, beads) across a variety of platforms and corresponding throughput settings.

More importantly, the company has demonstrated consistency of results across a diverse range of PCR platforms demonstrating robustness of the assay in a variety of throughput settings, from point-of-care (single subject, quick turn-around) to large clinical trials (thousands of subjects, high throughput). Clinical study samples have been assayed on platforms that include, but are not limited to, the ABI Prism® 7900HT Sequence Detection System, Cepheid SmartCycler® System, Roche LightCycler® 480 System and Fluidigm BioMark™ System. Source MDx's expertise in assay development and validation across multiple PCR platforms accelerates the transfer of an assay to a partner's platform of choice and further supports a partner's efforts to leverage their existing investments in diagnostic delivery platforms.
